Your local Area Agency on Aging supports caregivers. Programs include:
- Information and assistance
- Adult day and adult day health care
- Legal assistance
- Nutrition services
- Respite care

The NOW & COMP Programs allow family caregivers to get paid while caring for a loved one who:
- Is on Medicaid
- Has a diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability from prior to age 18
- Requires the level of care provided in an intermediate-care facility

You were deemed ineligible for these Elderly and Disabled Programs, which requires your loved one:
- Is 18 or older and on Medicaid
- Related by blood or marriage, but not your spouse
- Needs full time care for a physical disability
- Lives with you
- You do not have outside employment
