Joey Salomone, MSN, RN, NRP, has worked in healthcare since 2014. Before becoming a nurse, he worked for several years as a paramedic in both the pre-hospital and hospital settings. Joey currently works as a registered nurse in the emergency department at RHA Healthcare, and he recently graduated with his MSN in Nursing Education.

Joey believes strongly in the principle of leading by caring about education. Any activity in education can help improve both confidence and humility in the student. Joey's compassion and caring as a bedside nurse are easily transferable to the classroom. He believes in being present and available for his students at all times during his interactions, which means genuinely listening and understanding any questions or concerns his students might have.

His wide variety of healthcare experiences has granted him a level of expertise that is transparent in his writing and editing. From creating course curricula for nursing programs to editing physician white papers, Joey's keen eye for detail comes from his previous career as a High School English teacher.
